All our top players made good progress this session. All these players played in numerous Saturday tournaments.
Our second tier also had consistent improvement. Aishwarya played in several tournaments and really improved a lot this session. Most of this group played in weekend tournaments except Zachary and Sawyer.
Faith and Ashwin just started chess this session but they have learned quickly and have caught up to some of the previous session's students. Dennis went backwards this session because he doesn't pay attention during lessons. Thomas has improved so much he passed several players and has caught that other group now. Four hundred is the threshhold where they will have some success at weekend tournaments (300 for those in K-3), so these players could be thinking about coming to tournaments.
This group is mostly new players. New players often struggle to get and keep rating points until the next session. But most eventually started the upward climb. Some of the players at the bottom are younger and just need a little time. Rigo needs to focus more during lessons. Amir need to pay attention during lessons and work hard on worksheets to improve.
