If you're new, we'll start at square one but quickly move until we catch up with the rest.
If you've had me before, we'll continue from where we left off.
I have a rating system to keep track of progress, and to help students find a good match in class.
+5 points for attendance
+2 points for each correct answer on worksheets
+1 to +31 for winning depending on the relative strength (relative to your rating) of your opponent
-1 to -31 for losing depending on the relative strength of your opponent
-16 to +16 for a draw depending on the relative strength of you opponent
If you've been in my classes before your rating will start where it left off.
If you're new it starts at 100. If you said you've played a lot of chess, it starts at 150.
