CHESS RESULTS

A disappointing end to the season losing to Metcalf C. After scoring 1.5 against A 2 against B, I was hoping to score at least 2.5 against C to hold onto 3rd place. Click on "Jr High Chess League" for final results.

Today in class we looked at the four-move checkmate and some different openings - the Italian Game(Guiocco Piano), the Spanish game(Ruy Lopez), the Fried Liver, Queens Gambit, English Opening and the Blackburne Gambit (Garbage gambit)
We also went over the King and Rook checkmate - practice doing this so you can earn 15 rating points next time if you haven't already done it.
